Politics and Agricultural Policy Implementation in Tanzania

Despite the fact that there is high agricultural policy density in Tanzania, implementation of policies has remained ineffective. Studies to explain causes ineffectiveness are vast. However, political dimension seldom systematically examined. Thus politics as a variable can steer hitherto received narrow focus. The article examines how dynamic led ineffective Tanzania. applies qualitative research methods. We used in-depth interviews with key and stakeholders uncover effects on implementation. Empirical data shows Tanzania vastly affected by politics. Politics allocation resources required for effective paper also noted incidences capture form threats, interference, imprecise prioritisation, resource diversion, rent-seeking embezzlement resources. Our analysis matters been source disruptions when it misapplied. This champions body knowledge policy-politics dichotomy arguing applying rightly process reduce disruptions.
